2nd Commando Regiment (2 Cdo Regt) was raised on 19 July 2009 at a ceremony at Tobruk Lines, Holsworthy when 4th Battalion (Commando), The Royal Australian Regiment (4 RAR [Cdo]), was officially renamed as 2nd Commando Regiment.
Born of the 4th Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (4 RAR) it is fitting that we honour those who served in 4 RAR (Cdo) and subsequently in 2nd Commando Regiment. We honour our fellow warriors who have made the supreme sacrifice in preserving the liberties and freedoms for which the Royal Australian Regiment has always fought in the link below.
